My Five Favourite Disney Films

I've grown up watching Disney films, much like a lot of others I'm sure, but I never really thought of what were my favourites. I mean there's definitely certain films I've seen quite a few more times than others, but my actual favourites? Never really thought of it!

That was until Sunday, when Jade nominated me to share a GIF of my favourite film. When I asked myself "What's my favourite film?" Moana was my first thought, straight away. So, I got to thinkin', what other Disney films do I love?

Favourite Disney Films

Frozen. Yes yes yes, before you all moan and click away, I know everyone is sick to death of Frozen. It's still a solid favourite of mine though, as I first saw it when I was still really depressed and it was one of the first things I actually liked after a long time of not really caring enough to like or dislike anything. I suppose it's stuck around as a little reminder.

Hercules. Pretty sure that this is because it's my mum's favourite and she put it on a lot when I was younger, but I love me some Hercules! He's also my favourite character out of the film too.

Moana. By far my favourite, I absolutely love Moana. I sang Your Welcome every day for months and months, much to the annoyance of my partner. We ended up buying the DVD for ourselves as he hadn't seen it and said it wasn't fair if I was going to continue talking about it. We both then sang Your Welcome for months.

The Little Mermaid. I was obsessed with this film when I was young! I used to play pretend that I was Ariel and the rock (you know the bit when she sings part of your world?) was my nans rug in the front room. I was probably about 6-7, mind.

The Lion King. I can remember sitting on my beanbag at my Grandma's house and watching this on repeat! Definitely a very close second to Moana.

Other Disney Films

Big Hero Six. Not only does it have a pretty cool soundtrack, it's just a great film in general. I've heard it said that it's the "boys version of Frozen" but it really didn't get as much hype as Frozen did and I'm not sure if I fully agree with the statement. Anyway, it's still in my top ten faves.

Beauty and the Beast. Both the Animated and the Live Action version! I loved both, but the animated version will always hold a special place in my childhood.

Fantasia. I don't hear this one spoken about very much, and even had parents say they don't want their children to see it! I remember thinking it was a tad weird when I first saw it, but I also remember absolutely loving it. I should probably get it on DVD at some point.

The Rescuers. I haven't seen The Rescuers in years! I had a thing about eagles after seeing The Rescuers Down Under for ages too haha!

Last for this list, but definitely not least, is Lilo and Stitch. It started off my love for Elvis, and an appreciation for Hawaii and the culture there. I loved this film so so much, it's beaten quite a few others to make it to this list (otherwise I'd be here forever!).

What are your favourite Disney movies?
