Valentine's Gift Ideas for the Gardener in Your Life

Being a veggie gardener myself, and the fact that my fiancee is who introduced me to all things farming, I thought it would be a good idea to share some ideas for the gardeners in your life. I don't think Valentine's day should just be all about hearts and chocolate (although I wouldn't complain), it can be anything your Valentine is interested in. Do you know any gamers that would say no to a game for Valentine's day? Me neither!

For the decorative gardener

If your gardener is more into the low-maintenance, looks pretty type of garden, an ornament or two will go down a treat! Why not take a look at a few garden centers, or even places like B&M or Home Bargains?

Flower Mad

Personally, I love having lots of different types of flowers, all different heights and shapes and colours. It can take quite a lot of maintenance to keep a garden full of flower beds looking good, especially when it's time to dead-head some of them.
Bulbs & seeds - these are already being sold in shops across the country!
Tools! Pruning shears are always handy, thick gloves to protect against thorns.
Eco Compostable bags, I've used these for absolutely everything that can go in the compost. While deadheading, instead of sending it all off to the dump why not make it into compost ready for next year?

Veggie Garneder

Growing your own veg  and fruit is quite possibly one of the most satisfying things ever. Only trouble is, it can take quite a lot of work and supplies to keep it all tidy - I've lost a few cucumbers in the leaves of other plants before.
Gardening twine
Seeds
Tools - gloves, shears, etc.
Poly-tunnels
Protective sheets for frosts

I hope some of these ideas help you think of something special for your gardener this Valentine's day!
