How to Decorate for Christmas on a Budget

Hey everyone! This is only the second Christmas in our own house, and boy does it show in the decorations! We have the basics, but nothing fancy or over the top. A couple of weeks ago I got a few more bits to decorate the tree and around the house with, and I'm pleased to say I was waaaaay under budget!

For a lot of us living away from home for the first few years can be hard, I know I notice a huge difference at Christmas especially. They've had years to collect their decorations and furniture, and it can make starting out feel a bit bare. So, I thought it would be a good idea to share with you all where I found some of my favourite bits!

B&M. Here I found loads and loads of different decorations. They had Santas, Baubles, Signs, and all sorts for not very much! I got some tinsel and icicle decorations for the tree from here.

Hobby Craft. If you're good at DIY and crafts, HC is a good place to hit up! I got some ribbon to wrap around presents and some to decorate the tree. There are hundreds to choose from, but I went for red and gold ribbon for the tree and I got thinner almost string-like ribbon in white and gold for presents. It didn't cost a lot at all either.

Home Bargains. Another great place for decor! I found a lot more for pets and for general house decorations here too, so if your tree is sorted but you want more decorations around the house it's a good place to have a look. I found a few presents for our dog, and some decorations and baskets for around the house.

Poundland. If you're on a super tight budget, it's always worth seeing what Poundland have. This year I found 10m rolls of wrapping paper and little decor pieces, and they have a pretty good craft section in some of their stores so if you can find it you can make it!

Where do you get your decor from? Do you make any yourself?
