Real Life Ghost Story

Hey everyone! I probably should have shared this with you all for Halloween, but alas I completely forgot to. Well, I've remembered to now, and that's what counts.

As a little disclaimer, I obviously can't prove the existence of ghosts or spirits anymore than anyone else. It's entirely up to each individual whether they believe in ghosts or not, and so I ask you kindly not to leave any mean comments about the subject. I'm all up for a meaningful debate though!

Anyway. I decided to share this little story with you guys as I was only thinking about it the other day. It's only a short one, and nothing terribly exciting happens, but I still believe it was a ghost.

Back in 2013, I was dating a guy who we'll call A. A lived with his Mum and his twin who we will call B. It was winter and I stayed over one night at A's house after having dinner with his family. At around 1 o'clock in the morning, something jostles the bed and it wakes me up.

I turn over a little, and there is someone sat on the end of the bed. I figure it's A, but he's just sitting there. So I say "What are you doing?", the reply to which was a snore from next to me, and definitely not from whoever was sat at the end of the bed. I turn over fully and see that A is still asleep. I turn back to whoever is sat on the end of the bed, and all I can think to say is "I'm not dealing with this" and I go back to sleep.

Had it of ended there, I'd say I had dreamt it. I hadn't gone back to sleep fully yet, and I felt something wiggle my foot, as if to wake me up. I looked back over to the end of the bed, expecting maybe to see it was someone actually there, instead of just this black shadow thing I was seeing. I could kind of see through it, but it was solid enough that there was a definite outline. I couldn't make anything more out, so I turned back over and tried to forget about it. I didn't feel threatened in any way, it felt...familiar?

In my head, I believe it was a ghost. Quite possibly my Granddad, and this would be why I didn't feel threatened in any way. However, I have pondered the possibility of it being A's twin B who thought it would be funny to sit at the end of the bed, but this would probably freak me out way more than a ghost having a visit, and the stairwell to A's room made an awful lot of noise so I would have thought that would wake me up before he even got to the door to open it.

What do you think about ghosts? Do you believe in them? Let me know in the comments!
