August Goals

Hey everyone! I can't believe there's only four more months until Christmas! Fortunately, we still have the rest of August, but I have to say I'm dying to get my jumpers and fluffy socks out.

Anyway, as it's the beginning of the month, I thought I would share this months goals with you guys. Last month I kept my goals in my bullet journal and totally forgot to write a post on it (sorry!) so I don't really have much to look back on for last month. I did pretty well though, and reached all my goals except one I'm happy to say.

This month I've decided to divide my goals into Blogging related goals and Personal Goals, and there seems to be more of one than the other haha!

Blogging Goals

  • Hit 1,000 Twitter followers. Numbers aren't everything, but this is one number that I never dreamed of hitting! Every time I pass another milestone I get more and more excited! I can't explain how thankful I am to every single reader and follower.
  • Post on Instagram daily. I've even added a tracker to my bullet journal to keep track of when I post. It's a new habit (*whispers* and I'm really bad at photography!) so I don't expect to post every single day, but I'm hoping to post at least 25 days out of the 31 days of the month.
  • Better my DA. I only moved to my own domain about a month and a half ago, so my DA is still low. I'm working on upping that this month though, and hoping to see a difference sooner rather than later.
  • Post more regularly. I go through phases, sometimes I can't stop writing and others I just can't seem to get the words out at all and it's all just a big jumble in my head. This month I want to consciously take advantage of when I have the writing bug and write as many posts in advance as I can.
  • Have a few posts for emergencies. Like I just said, actually writing posts can be a bit hit and miss with me, and depends entirely on my mood and how I'm feeling that day. I want to write up a few posts that aren't restricted by season or events, so if in the case of not having a post written I can just pull out one of my already finished posts. 

Personal Goals

  • Keep to a fitness routine. If you read my post on PCOS (you can read it here) you'll know that weight gain is a side-effect of PCOS. I've decided enough is enough and I have to get it all under control. Don't get me wrong, I have tried many times to lose weight and better my health, but PCOS has always been one step ahead of me on that one and my doctors have pretty much told me they'll only help once I lose weight, but I need help to lose the weight. Bit of a "you-need-experience-to-get-experience" kind of situation.
  • Write letters. I have family that live abroad and friends that live quite a way away from me in the UK, so I've decided I want to write letters and surprise them!
  • Clean the house top to bottom. Where I live I'm in the middle of a lot of fields. This means when harvest comes, all the spiders seem to make a run for my house. For someone who is terrified of spiders, this isn't a good thing! This month I want to blitz the house and get every nook and cranny, and make sure there's no unwanted guests (if they paid rent I wouldn't mind so much!)
