Jamberry Nail Wraps - 7 day Wrap VS Nail Varnish- AD

Hey everyone! I'm definitely excited about today's post, so I'll get straight into it without any nonsense!

So a little while ago I received a trial pack of nail wraps from Jamberry. The challenge was to use one of the wraps as an accent nail, paint the rest in your favourite nail polish, and see which lasted longer. I was super excited to try this, as chipped nail polish isn't my favourite thing in the world.

I've only just broken the habit of biting my nails. This means that they're all different shapes and grow a little too flat at the moment, but my biggest problem is how flexible they are. This makes wearing nail varnish almost impossible, it literally chips within an hour of drying because my nails bend so easily.

This might be bad for nail varnish, but it's the perfect way to really put these nail wraps to the test!

In my mini kit, I received a cuticle pusher, an orange stick, a cleansing wipe, instructions, and a few different patterned wraps in various sizes. I followed the instructions, and it was a lot easier to do than I thought it would be! My first go wasn't perfect, but I put that down to having a very short nail so I couldn't file the end off properly. My second attempt, this time with a nail that was a bit longer, went really well.

For heating up the wraps I used a hair dryer for a few seconds. I was able to do both nails in a few minutes, so accounting for there being no drying times I would imagine it's much faster to use wraps instead of nail varnish.

As it turns out, the week I tested the wraps I was doing a lot of work around the house. That includes painting, hanging pictures, etc. So my hands have taken a bit of a beating this week. I even used white spirit to remove the sticky paint from my hands! Here's a picture of my nails after the beating of this week below.

As you can see in the photo, there's quite a few chips and the colour of my nail varnish faded ever so slightly after using white spirit to get paint off my hands. The wrap on the other hand didn't even peel or pick up at the sides, which I was surprised about. I'm really pleased with how well the wraps have held up, so I'm happy to recommend them to you all!

Thank you for reading, and thank you to Jamberry for letting me try the wraps!

Love, Bella x
